![]() ![]() All we have for reference points here are pie-in-the-sky MSRP's, Fine formulas, blue-book guesstimates, and a different actual selling price for every occasion. Even if a maker could overcome its territorial contractual arrangements with shop retailers and offer a few models through a direct Internet vendor (which I believe is the case with Thomann and its suppliers) the price clarity of those models would give a point of reference for the relative value of other models of that maker. ![]() I would imagine that shop retailers are probably ready to tell you that the Thomann inventory consists of B stock and warranty returns in order to scare you off. That's the thing.isn't it? You have to have enough blind faith in the product consistency of the maker to get past the sight-unseen barrier. Also I do wonder if you could get close to those prices by negotiating a discount with a dealer. ![]() They seem to offer lots of pianos at knock down prices but I don't think I would be brave enough to buy before trying. I do like the 124 and have noticed it on Thomann before at a very attractive price. ![]()
